MSP: Fiery tractor trailer crash on Beltway ends up fatal

Maryland State Police are investigating a fiery crash Friday night on the outer loop of of the Beltway near Pikesville that claimed the life of a Bel Air man.According to officials, around 9:00 p.m., Maryland State Police responded to a serious crash on the outer loop of Interstatre-695 at Stevenson Road in Pikesville. After an investigation it was determined that a silver Nissan Frontier, for unknown reasons, veered off the roadway and hit a disabled tractor trailer that was on the shoulder.According to police, the driver of the Nissan has been identified as Anthony Schepis, 35, of Bel Air. He was declared deceased at the scene and the driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed following the crash.The cause of the crash remains under investigation.All lanes of the outer loop were closed following the crash, but traffic was able to get by on the left shoulder in the 10 p.m. hour. State police said there is no impact to traffic on the inner loop.Check traffic before you go.
