Wednesday is a “Day of Giving” at participating Jersey Mike’s restaurants in Maryland, and every dollar customers spend will go directly to Special Olympics Maryland. Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” supports more than 200 charities nationwide, including SOMD. “Anything you buy — cookie, brownies — calories don’t count today. One hundred percent of that goes all to the Special Olympics of Maryland,” Jersey Mike’s owner and operator Paul Weitz said. “One hundred percent of it. We don’t take any food cost out, nothing comes out.”
