YOU COULD WIN TICKETS TO THE PREAKNESS. SO WE SET IT UP SO PEOPLE CAN COME IN, THEY WRITE THEIR NAME DOWN AND THEY’RE ABLE TO JUST PUT IT IN OUR BOWL AND WE PICK A WINNER AT THE END OF THE DAY THROUGH MAY 19TH, BLACK ACRES ROASTERY IS ONE OF MORE THAN 20 LOCAL BUSINESSES GIVING AWAY A PAIR OF TICKETS TO THE PREAKNESS EVERY DAY. IT’S PART OF THE FIRST EVER — WEEKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MARYLAND JOCKEY CLUB. WE WANTED TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES AND WE WANTED TO DRIVE VALUE. WE WANTED TO DRIVE, HELP DRIVE REVENUE AND USE OUR OUR MASSIVE STAGE AND PLATFORM. SO THIS WAS THE PERFECT IDEA IN ADDITION TO THE TICKET GIVEAWAY, EACH PARTICIPATING BUSINESS WILL RECEIVE A CUSTOM QR CODE FOR CUSTOMERS TO BUY DISCOUNTED PREAKNESS TICKETS, AND IN RETURN, THE BUSINESSES WILL GET 10% OF THE SALES. WE HAVE CUSTOM QR CODES FOR EACH BUSINESS. WE HAVE A TOTAL OF 24 BUSINESSES THAT ARE PARTICIPATING. IT’S A PLEASURE TO HAVE THAT COME BACK TO US BECAUSE WE WANT TO SHOWCASE PREAKNESS. Customers who support select Baltimore businesses could win tickets to the Preakness.Through May 19, Black Acres Roastery at Open Works in east Baltimore and their location in Lexington Market is just one of two dozen businesses giving away a pair of tickets every day to the Preakness as part of the first-ever Preak Weeks event in partnership with the Maryland Jockey Club.”We set it up so that people can come in, write their name down and they’re able to put it in a bowl, and we pick the winner at the end of the day,” said Travis Bell, the founder of Black Acres Roastery.”We wanted to support local businesses, and we wanted to drive value and drive revenue and use our massive stage and platform. So, this was a perfect idea,” said Audra Madison, the director of marketing for the Maryland Jockey Club.In addition to the ticket giveaway, each participating business will have a custom QR code for customers to buy discounted Preakness tickets, and in return, the businesses get 10% of the sales.”We have custom QR codes for each business.
