Terps trail Crimson Tide in second round of NCAA Tournament

The Maryland Terrapins scored first to open the game against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.The Terps held onto the lead through the first 10 minutes of the opening half, keeping Alabama to 13 points in 11 minutes.Then, Alabama gained its first lead with 7:30 left to go in the half, and the teams would trade the lead, keeping it close until the final minutes of the half, when the Terps went two for 18 at the two-minute mark.The Terps would find a couple of buckets at the end of the half as the defense keeps them in it, Alabama leads 28-23 at the half.The Terps advanced from the first round after a hard-fought victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers 67-65, to play the No. 1 overall seed, Alabama.Maryland is 1-2 all-time against the Crimson Tide, with the last game coming in the Terps last NCAA tourney appearance in 2021. Miller is averaging 19.6 points per game but is coming off a tough first-round game where he was held scoreless in a 21-point victory.The winner advances to the Sweet 16 to play San Diego State in Louisville, Kentucky.
