Southern Maryland Art Convention To Showcase Intersection Of Art, Tech, And Film On September 7th, 2024


LUSBY, Md. – The Southern Maryland Art Convention, a dynamic community event celebrating the convergence of art, technology, and film, is set to take place on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn Solomons. Doors will open at 11:00 AM, offering attendees a full day of innovative presentations, creative exhibitions, and interactive experiences.

This year’s convention will feature a special presentation from K9_Ada, a Unitree GO2 robot dog, showcasing the cutting-edge advancements in robotics. STEM enthusiasts will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning at the STEM Kit workstations, designed to inspire and educate the next generation of innovators.

Film lovers are in for a treat with the Push Play Animated Film Series, featuring a curated selection of animated films from around the globe. This series highlights the artistic and cultural diversity within the world of animation, offering a platform for filmmakers to share their stories with a wider audience.

The Southern Maryland Art Convention was co-created by Chesapeake Beach resident Anthony M. Greene and Pinnacle Pixels founder Steven Polk. Their vision was to create an event that showcases the intersection of art, tech, and film as vital creative forces that reflect the ingenuity and relevance of the curious mind.

“We wanted to create a space where people could come together to explore and celebrate the incredible things that happen when creativity meets technology,” said Anthony M. Greene. “This convention is not just an event; it’s a community gathering that highlights the importance of fostering curiosity and innovation in all its forms.”
