Registration Open For Swim Lessons In Chesapeake Beach


CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – The Town Council of the Town of Chesapeake Beach announces that registration is OPEN for Town residents who would like for their children to receive Swim Lessons from our Award Winning Town of Chesapeake Beach Aquatics Team!

To continue the Town’s life saving swim lesson program during operational interruptions at the Chesapeake Beach Water Park, the Town Council has authorized Town staff to open registration for swim lessons at no additional costs to Town residents, with the following 3 levels of offerings: 

  • Tadpoles (ages 3 to 5) – 8 AM to 8:45 AM: Water exploration – children learn basics of swimming: bobbing, flutter kicks, front/back float, blowing bubbles, etc.
  • Jelly Fish (ages 5 to 7) – 9 AM to 9:45 AM: Swimmers will enhance their skills and develop new techniques: alternating arms, front/back glide, arms & legs together, submerging face.
  • Sting Rays (ages 7 to 10) – 10 AM to 10:45 AM: Swimmers enhance their skills and develop new techniques: rhythmic breathing, front/back crawl, treading water, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, butterfly, sidestroke.
