Police identify 2 teens dead after Upper Marlboro crash

Police were called around 4 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, to the area of Ritchie Marlboro Road and Marlboro Pointe Drive for a single-vehicle crash. A black 2012 Infiniti G37 with four possible passengers crashed into a utility pole. The car appeared to lose control for an unknown reason, striking the median, a fire hydrant, an electrical box, and several other fixed objects before hitting the utility pole.Montgomery County police announced that 19-year-old Leslie Kristin Ventura was pronounced dead on scene. A second passenger, 19-year-old Kailey Briana, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, where on March 6 she died due to her injuries from the crash. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and police said a third passenger left the location before officers arrived. The crash remains under investigation.
