Shanquella traveled with her friends to Mexico to celebrate a birthday and never returned home. In a video that has since circulated, she’s shown naked, being beaten by one of her friends, while the others filmed and encouraged her to fight. These “friends” told her mother she died of alcohol poisoning. The autopsy has since shown otherwise.
But what kind of friends are the people who filmed this assault? What kind of friend turns a blind eye to someone being assaulted, especially when you know that person well? What kind of friends are these? The worst kind, they were complicit in this crime, and they should be punished for it.
The video of the incident has been circulating on social media and has since gone viral. Many people have expressed their disgust online, calling for justice for this woman who was so brutally assaulted. The woman’s mother also spoke out about her daughter’s death, saying that she had been told by friends that her daughter died from alcohol poisoning.
