A man was shot and killed early Monday along a busy stretch of bars and restaurants in Fell Point and across the street of one of Baltimore’s top hotels, city police said.
It was one of four shootings that happened in a four-hour time period between 9 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday.
Just before 1 a.m., officers on patrol heard gunfire and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1700 block of Thames Street. The 30-year-old man was found within feet of the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore hotel, a historic building that was once Recreation Pier, a cargo storage facility, and also served as a set for the NBC TV series “Homicide: Life on the Street.” Nightly room rates range from around $600 to $1,200.
