Man in custody after dangerous stolen car police chase

THIS IS BREAKING NEWS. GOOD EVENING. WE’RE FOLLOWING BREAKING NEWS RIGHT NOW. BALTIMORE POLICE NOW HAVE AT LEAST ONE PERSON IN CUSTODY AFTER FOLLOWING WHAT THEY BELIEVED WAS A STOLEN CAR. CAPTAIN ROY TAYLOR AND SKY TEAM 11 BALTIMORE’S ONLY NEWS HELICOPTER WERE LIVE OVER THE CHASE. SO, ROY, WHAT’S THE LATEST THERE? WELL, YOU CAN SEE THE CAR, HOW IT WAS PARKED UNDERNEATH TREES TRYING TO ELUDE THE CITY POLICE HELICOPTER, AT WHICH TIME THE INDIVIDUAL ENDED UP BAILING OUT AND WAS APPREHENDED BY POLICE. BUT WE HAVE VIDEO TO SHOW YOU OF THE FOLLOWING, WHICH STARTED UP ACTUALLY IN THE NORTHWEST DISTRICT OF BALTIMORE CITY, THE CITY POLICE HELICOPTER, FOXTROT SPOTTED THIS STOLEN VEHICLE, NOTICED ALLIED GROUND UNITS OF IT, AND THEY IN TURN PRETTY MUCH FOLLOWED OR PARALLEL THE MEANS OF WHICH THIS VEHICLE WAS TRYING TO LEAVE AND ESCAPE AND POSSIBLY BAIL OUT. NOW, THIS INDIVIDUAL ENDED UP GOING FROM THE NORTHWEST DISTRICT INTO THE WESTERN DISTRICT, INTO THE SOUTHWEST DISTRICT, AND THEN ALL THE WAY DOWN HERE TO THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT TO WHERE THE AREA OF CHERRY HILL WHERE HE ENDED UP GOING INTO A BACK ALLEY AND THEN BAILED OUT OF THE VEHICLE. ONCE HE BAILED OUT, HE STARTED RUNNING TOWARDS, I GUESS WOULD BE CHERRY HILL ROAD, ROUND ROAD, AT WHICH TIME CITY POLICE OFFICERS WERE ABLE TO MAKE AN APPREHENSION WITHOUT INCIDENT. IN FACT, THE INDIVIDUAL ENDED UP GIVING UP TO POLICE. NOW WE’RE STILL TRYING TO GET MORE INFORMATION EXACTLY WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS STOLEN IN BALTIMORE COUNTY, BUT THEY’RE IN THE PROCESS OF BRINGING A TOW TRUCK HERE RIGHT NOW TO RECOVER THIS VEHICLE. Baltimore City police have a man in custody after a dangerous police chase.SkyTeam 11 and Capt. Roy Taylor were over the scene as a police helicopter spotted a stolen vehicle in northwest Baltimore.Police pursued the vehicle as it attempted to flee from the northwest into west and southwest Baltimore, all the way to Cherry Hill.There, the suspect bailed out near Cherry Hill Road. Police continued pursuit on foot and were able to apprehend the suspect without incident.Police are still investigating to determine where the vehicle was stolen.This report will be updated.

Baltimore City police have a man in custody after a dangerous police chase.

SkyTeam 11 and Capt. Roy Taylor were over the scene as a police helicopter spotted a stolen vehicle in northwest Baltimore.

Police pursued the vehicle as it attempted to flee from the northwest into west and southwest Baltimore, all the way to Cherry Hill.

There, the suspect bailed out near Cherry Hill Road. Police continued pursuit on foot and were able to apprehend the suspect without incident.

Police are still investigating to determine where the vehicle was stolen.
