A video sent to sister station KSBW by viewer Danielle Garcia shows a man catching a fish in the California floodwaters Saturday. The video was shot on College Road in Watsonville, between Cutter Drive and Drew Lake Road, after an atmospheric river caused widespread flooding on California’s Central Coast. “He’s going to have dinner tonight,” Garcia said in the video. “It was just swimming across the road.”A photo, sent by another KSBW viewer, Mary Hallett-Hernandez, shows a carp in the water along the same road in Watsonville. “Such a crazy surreal surprise,” said Hallett-Hernandez in her message to KSBW.
