ANNAPOLIS, Md. – An announcement was made by the Environmental Protection Agency on August 27th, stating that Khesha Reed has been selected as the new Permanent Deputy Director of the Chesapeake Bay Program Office (CBPO).
Reed has been acting as the Deputy Director of the CBPO since April, but will now retain the position permanently, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Reed has worked for the Environmental Protection Agency for over twenty years, granting her a wealth of experience in the organization.
While acting as the CBPO’s Deputy Director throughout the Spring and Summer of 2024, Reed has served as a liaison for the Local Government Advisory Committee. Additionally, she’s worked towards improving the CBPO’s administrative processes.
Khesha Reed earned an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and attended the University of Delaware to earn her B.S. in Civil Engineering. Reed served as the Deputy Director of the Office of Children’s Health before joining the CBPO.
