THE HEAT IS THE FOCUS FOR EVERYONE TODAY BECAUSE THE HEAT INDEX SHOULD BE UP ABOVE. ANY TIME FROM NOON TO ABOUT 4:00. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CERTAIN HEALTH CONDITIONS OR CERTAIN MEDICATIONS YOU CAN BE AT MORE RISK OF DEHYDRATION OR HEAT ILLNESS. RESCHEDULE ACTIVITIES EARLY OR LATE IF POSSIBLE. Meteorologist Ava Marie says today will be under a Heat Advisory with temps in the high 90’s and a heat index as high as 105 degrees. The risk of heat illness is increased at these times especially during the hottest times of the day from 11 a.m. till 8 p.m. There will be a chance for some showers and thunderstorms this evening and that trend will continue through the weekend. Expect temps in the low 90’s with evening thunderstorms through Sunday, with a slight break for Monday when it will get back to being sunny and hot.
