If Adele could, she’d set fire to her shapewear.
The Grammy singer candidly revealed some of her fashion woes during a recent performance at her Las Vegas residency “Weekends with Adele.”
“I had to put these Spanx on that were a size small,” Adele told audience members at her June 1 show, per a video captured by a fan and posted on TikTok. “It was like pumping sausage meat. It was so stressful.”
The “Hello” singer admitted she almost skipped the Spanx completely, but decided to go through with it after she “managed to get into them.”
“I was contemplating maybe I don’t go on in a pair of Spanx tonight,” Adele continued, “but I was like ‘Oh no, that’s too risky.’ It’s made me look great but I’m nervous my blood’s going to get cut off or something. So, if I pass out half way through the show, don’t worry—that is why.”
