Super Beauty Smash And Grab: Destruction And Theft At Waldorf Market Place

WALDORF, Md. – An 18-year-old Towson resident, Makenzie Amara Earle, is facing charges of malicious destruction of property following an incident at the Waldorf Market Place on July 30, 2024. According to police reports, Charles County authorities were called to the Super Beauty store in Waldorf after receiving reports of theft and significant damage to store property.

Officer Johnson, who responded to the scene, located two individuals near the market area—Earle and another individual, Elise Nicole Holland. Inside the store, officers found multiple display items knocked over and damaged, with the total damage being approximately $57. It was revealed that some items had also been stolen, leading to further investigation.

Store employees identified Earle and Holland as the individuals responsible for the damage and theft. Earle was charged with destruction of property, while Holland was charged with theft under $100. Both suspects were later confirmed through a show-up identification and were transported to the Charles County Detention Center.

Earle’s charges carry a potential penalty of up to 60 days in jail and/or a $500 fine if convicted. Holland’s charge for theft under $100 could result in up to 90 days in jail and/or a $500 fine. The case is currently pending.
