MM 7.15: Former Terp Jahmir Young debuts in Summer League with Denver Nuggets

Former Maryland men’s basketball star Jahmir Young made his NBA Summer League debut with the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

The rookie guard did not score any points or attempt a shot in the 78-88 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, but he did record two rebounds, two assists, one steal and was plus-8 in nine minutes of action off the bench.

Meanwhile, in Sunday evening’s Summer League matchup against the Raptors, Young posted just one point on 0-of-2 shooting along with one rebound, two assists and one block in nine minutes.

Young was signed to an Exhibit 10 contract on June 27, allowing him to compete for Denver’s final two-way contract throughout the summer. The Nuggets’ remaining games are against Charlotte (July 16), Indiana (July 18) and one more to be announced.
