If you miss out on the Prime Day sales, donât worry; one of the most unique features of Amazon Layaway is that itâs available year-round! Plus, both Prime members and non-Prime members may be eligible for layaway.

How does Amazon Layaway work?
This program makes it easier to pay as you go without any fees or credit checks. Youâll make a payment every two weeks for five total payments, including your initial 20% payment, and your item will ship after your final payment. Plus, there are no fees or penalties for early pay-off if you want your item sooner!
Yes! This payment option does not charge interest, late fees, sign-up fees, service charges, cancelation fees, or restocking fees. See the FAQs for more.
How much will I pay today?
When you shop with Amazon Layaway, youâll pay just 20% of the listed price on the day you place your order. Opting for layaway will lock in that price for good â including any available discounts! Once you put an item on layaway, the price will not change- how awesome is that?!Â
IMPORTANT NOTES: Your remaining 4 payments will be automatically charged to the original payment method every 2 weeks. Thereafter, each payment will be 20% of the original price, with taxes and shipping fees (if any) added to your final payment.
You can manage your layaway plan, update your payment method, pay early, and more through your Amazon account. Note that all layaway orders must be paid in full within the 8-week layaway period.
Are there any drawbacks to using Amazon Layaway?
Besides waiting for your item, we have yet to find any drawbacks to using this program. Itâs beneficial, doesnât cost you any money, and you get what you want without immediately paying the full amount!

Note that only items shipped and sold by Amazon are eligible for layaway.
Need to cancel or canât make your Amazon Layaway payment?
There are no fees for overdue or canceled layaway plans. If you miss a payment, Amazon will send you an email to inform you that the payment is late. Once your layaway balance is overdue, you will not be able to open any additional layaway plans with Amazon.
If you pay your outstanding balance prior to your next scheduled payment, you can make additional purchases on layaway.
