The Red Magic 9S Pro series debuted a couple of days ago in China. The lineup comprises two devices – a Pro+ version with 165W fast charging and up to 24 GB RAM and a regular Pro variant with 80W wired charging and a bigger battery.
Today nubia revealed it will bring Red Magic 9S Pro to the international scene on July 16. We also expect to see the Titan 16 Pro laptop there.
Red Magic is advertising the phone as “first in the world” with a “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version,” which is actually the overclocked AC version with a 3.4 GHz Cortex-X4 CPU (instead of 3.3 GHz) and a 1 GHz Adreno 750 GPU (instead of 900 MHz) we’ve seen in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The device is also called the industry’s only device with a “true full-screen experience” because the selfie camera is of the under-display variety and doesn’t require a punch-hole – a technology used by ZTE and its subsidiaries for several years.
The Red Magic 9S Pro’s price in China starts from CNY3,800 ($550) for a 12/256 GB version. However, we expect the cost to be at least $649/€649, as this was the global price tag of the predecessor Red Magic 9 Pro with a regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
