PARK HALL, Md. – On July 20, 2024, at approximately 8:59 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving a dirt bike on Point Lookout Road at the intersection of Cook’s Liquors & Deli in Park Hall.
Crews arrived and found the 15-year-old male rider going in and out of consciousness, suffering from a compound femur fracture and other injuries. The striking vehicle remained on the scene and was not injured.
The dirt bike rider reportedly struck the passenger door and went over the vehicle approximately 30 feet.
EMS evaluated the patient on the scene and requested a MEDEVAC. Firefighters established a landing zone at Park Hall Elementary School for Maryland State Police, Trooper 2. The patient was then flown to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for treatment.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
