Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receiver Tee Higgins is set to hit Free Agency in 2025 after reports via Ian Rapoprt of him not coming to terms on a long term contract before the July 15th deadline. Tee Higgins will play the 2024 season on a 1 year, $21.8M Franchise Tag.
Over Higgins 4 year career, he has been a reliable target for Joe Burrow. Tallying 3,684 yards on 257 receptions and 24 TDs. Tee Higgins will demand a huge payday from any team that is willing to pay him his price tag. It will be deserved but the question will be if Higgins is a true #1 receiver? He has been behind Ja’Marr Chase who has been Joe Burrow number one target since their LSU days.
Higgins is a big target at 6’4 that isn’t afraid to go up and make a play on a 50/50 ball thrown his way. He will be top candidate in Free Agency come 2025.
A few teams can use him in their offense such as the Tennessee Titans. The Titans love the Tall, Big Body receiver in their system since Mike Vrable has become head coach (i.e, AJ Brown). Mix Higgins with a young QB like Will Levis and it can do wonders for both the Titans offense and Will Levis.
The Charger would be a good fit for Tee Higgins as well because Jim Harbaugh loves to run the ball and use play action. Also with anticipation of a stellar running game in LA. Tee Higgins will provide a knack for getting open in space, creating for Justin Herbert and making those 50/50 contested catches. Not to mention, the Chargers lost Keenan Allen to Chicago Bears.
In conclusion, I can see any Wide Receiver needing team in 2025 to sign Tee Higgins in the range of three-year, $75-million range he was looking for. Whether it comes from the two teams mentioned above or another team. Tee Higgins production will get him paid. Especially if he has stellar 2025 season playing on the franchise tag for Cincinnati.
