The vivo V40e isn’t the only new V40 series device to launch today – it is joined by the V40 Lite 4G and V40 Lite 5G which launched in Indonesia. You’d be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the two Lite variants as they share the same design and key hardware apart from the chipsets.
V40 Lite 4G gets a Snapdragon 685 alongside 8 GB RAM while the V40 Lite 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and up to 12GB RAM.
Both phones share the exact same design and dimensions including a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panels house a 32MP front-facing camera housed inside a punch-hole cutout.
There’s a 50MP main cam (IMX882) around the back which is joined by a 2MP depth helper and vivo’s Aura Ligth portrait system. The new devices also come with vivo’s AI Imaging suite which includes AI Erase, Photo Enhance, and Document scanning from images in your camera roll.
Both phones boot Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 and come with 5,000 mAh batteries that support up to 80W fast charging.
V40 Lite 4G comes in Titanium Silver, Pearl Violet, and Carbon Black colors. It retails for IDR 3,299,000 ($220) in its 8/128GB trim or IDR 3,599,000 ($240) for the 8/256GB version.
V40 Lite 5G is available in Titanium Silver and Carbon Black colors. It’s priced at IDR 4,299,000 ($285) for the 8/256GB trim.
