Unoccupied Jet Ski In Patuxent River 


PATUXENT, Md. – On August 4, 2024, emergency services responded to a report of a jet ski floating unattended on the Patuxent River. The initial call came in at 3:49 p.m., prompting a priority 2 response.

According to the caller, the jet ski was observed floating with no one around it near the Benedict Bridge. The incident was reported by telephone to Calvert County Emergency Communications.

Responders quickly arrived on the scene to investigate the situation. Updates indicated that the jet ski had drifted from the Potomac River up the Patuxent River, near the Benedict area.

Upon arrival, emergency crews observed the jet ski and confirmed that there was no immediate sign of an operator. The search and investigation continued to ensure no one was in distress and to secure the area.
