Under The Shell: Former Maryland running back Bruce Perry

On this week’s episode of the Under The Shell Podcast, hosts Brendan Weissel, Sam Jane and Michael Howes are joined by former Maryland running back Bruce Perry.

Perry was the 2011 ACC Offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 1,242 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also caught 40 passes for 359 yards that season. Perry was then drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2004 NFL Draft.

“Had we been able to keep me healthy, it’s no doubt in my mind that I would have had that [Maryland] rushing record,” Perry said. “And not only that, I’d been considered probably the greatest back in Maryland history.”

The hosts discussed football’s disappointing loss to Northwestern, women’s soccer’s monumental win over Nebraska and men’s soccer’s continuous strong play. Sandy Worth was this week’s Terrific Terp.
