True Noir – Exclusive Interviews with Cast and Crew

“True Noir,” the first project from the recently launched Imagination Connoisseurs Unlimited, promises to deliver an exciting experience to audiences when the project is released in September. The upcoming audio drama, which is based on Max Allan Collins’s 1983 novel “True Detective,” will focus on the real-life 1933 assassination of Chicago Mayor Anton Cermak, as told and investigated by fictional detective Nathan Heller.

Listeners will need to use their imaginations to visualize the characters in the production, but if audiences could see the actors and creatives behind this project, they would likely recognize most of them. According to the Kickstarter campaign for the project, the cast includes more than 25 well-known actors, ranging from Jesse Spencer, recognized for his roles in “House” and “Chicago Fire,” to Katee Sackhoff, best known for her performance in “Battlestar Galactica.”

From this large ensemble, the production sent a select group to San Diego Comic-Con, led by “True Noir” director Robert Meyer Burnett and executive producer Mike Bawden. “True Noir” cast members available for interviews included “24” and “Sopranos” actor Louis Lombardi, “Without a Trace” star Anthony LaPaglia, “Joker: Folie à Deux” actor Bill Smitrovich, character actor Don McManus, and “The John Campea Show” commentator Kris Carr.
