Rooftop Car Cruize Night: Rev up your engines and join us for Rooftop Car Cruize Nights! Every Friday from April to October, come to the 4th-floor parking garage at Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort for an evening of sleek rides, good vibes, and unforgettable memories. Please note, we’re skipping May 3rd and June 21st, but mark your calendars for the rest! Plus, groove to beats spun by our DJ every 2nd Friday. See you there!
The North Beach Farmer’s Market: We are pleased to continue our traditional, small-town atmosphere farmers’ market for the 2024 season! The farmers’ market season will be from April 13 through October 26 and will be held on Saturday mornings from 8 to 11:30 am in the parking lot of the North Beach Senior Center. The market will include local vendors with items such as plants, farm vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, eggs, and other fresh goods. The Town of North Beach encourages all guests to HELP REDUCE WASTE by bringing your own bags and using the appropriate disposal containers provided at the market. We hope to see you at the market every Saturday during the season from 8 to 11:30 am!
Calvert County Farmers Markets: Buying local is easy with an abundance of fresh food from Calvert County’s farmers, agri-businesses and watermen. Patrons can find local produce, meat, bedding plants (vegetables and herbs) and a bounty of other offerings at these “producer only” markets. Movie Night @ LTown Alley: Catch an outdoor screening of Freaky Friday this Friday the 13th in LTown Alley (on Park Avenue at the Alice in Leonardtown Mural across from the Good Earth Health Food Store, 41675 Park Ave, Leonardtown, MD 20650). This family-friendly event is FREE to the public. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to have a freaky great time! Happening from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Dinner & A Cruise Series @ St. Clements Island Museum: Enjoy cool breezes during a fun evening of cruising on the St. Clement’s Island Water Taxi and delicious seafood dinner and beverage service catered at Potomac Gardens.The water tour will include a guided presentation about an environmental topic. The event will begin and end at St. Clement’s Island Museum where the water taxi will pick up guests. Dinner and dessert reception will be served at Potomac Gardens. Book in advance here. Cruises are capped at 20 people and tend to sell out! Ages 21+ only.
People & Perspectives with Dan Dawson at Historic Sotterley: Dan Dawson from Tobacco Barn Distillery will spend an evening discussing his family’s farming history from decades as tobacco-centric to small grains and currently to bourbon production. Topics will include the impact of the development of NAS Patuxent River on the farming community and his family, the tobacco buyout, the rise in popularity of bourbon – America’s spirit and the history of southern Maryland as bourbon’s true birthplace. For those of legal age, samples of Tobacco Barn’s currently released products will bemade available as well as the opportunity to purchase bottles with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Historic Sotterley. This event is FREE and hybrid, meaning you can join us in-person or virtually. Registration is required. In-person participants are welcome to join us for a pre-reception at 6:15 pm.
