Calvert County Farmers Markets: Buying local is easy with an abundance of fresh food from Calvert County’s farmers, agri-businesses and watermen. Patrons can find local produce, meat, bedding plants (vegetables and herbs) and a bounty of other offerings at these “producer only” markets. Harvest Festival: Activities include a petting zoo, hayrides, a corn maze, pumpkin patch, human hamster wheel, farm trail, rubber duck races, sunflowers, diggers, and a playground. French Wine and Food Pairing: Enjoy three tasting portions of wine, each expertly paired with petite dishes crafted by our General Manager, Shannon.Limited Seating: Only 35 spots available Must be 21+ to attend (ID required upon entry) Exclusive Happy Hour: Barrel 9 will open from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. for attendees, offering a limited menu and cocktails available for purchase. Please note that the kitchen will close at 5:30 p.m. in preparation for the 6 p.m. class. The class will run from 6-8:30 p.m. How to Secure Your Tickets: Purchase directly at the bar or call Barrel 9 at 410-231-2968 to order over the phone. No refunds or changes can be made on the day of the event. This event costs $40, held on October 15th.
On the Rise: Consumer Perceptions of Flour [Virtual]: Join us for this free, online event with Ron Burke, senior director, food safety, quality and regulatory at Ardent Mills, to learn about the evolution of food safety efforts across the food industry that has resulted in new research, providing a greater insight into consumer perceptions of flour safety and their understanding of how to handle it properly. Chesapeake Orchestra The IN(Door) Series @ Nancy R. and Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center: The Chesapeake Orchestra under the direction of Jeffrey Silberschlag has a special series filled with prominent artists. The IN(Door) Series includes 3 shows:
