Yaber brought the K3 series of home theater projectors to IFA and these are the brightest projectors that the company has made yet. They build on the successful K2s model from last year.
The Yaber K3 is an LED projector that can reach 1,600 ANSI lumens. It beams a 1080p image that ranges between 40” and 200” in size (the projector has a throw ratio of 1.2:1).
The new NovaGlow optical technology promises a sharp, vivid image. The extra brightness comes with extra heat, so Yaber created the CoolSwift cooler to manage that heat. It’s a combination of a U-shaped heatsink and dual thermoelectric coolers. Yaber will announce more details about NovaGlow and CoolSwift soon.
The projector has smart features that automatically create the best image in any room: Auto Focus, Auto Keystone Correction, Intelligent Screen Alignment and Obstacle Avoidance.
The K3 runs Android with Google TV, so you have access to 7,000+ apps, including streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ and so on. Additionally, there is NFC, so you can just tap your phone on the projector and start casting local content. Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.0 are available for local connections. Voice commands are available, if you don’t feel like reaching for the remote.
The Yaber K3 features dual 15W JBL speakers (800cc) and Dolby Atmos. Besides the vanilla model, there is a Yaber K3 Pro, which includes a woofer for extra bass. That is just about the only difference between the two (well, not quite).
The Yaber K3 will be sold exclusively online, the K3 Pro will be sold exclusively in physical stores, so that’s another difference. The K3 is priced at €600 or, if you want a woofer, the K3 Pro is €650.
Addtionally, the company unveiled the cheaper and more compact Yaber L2s. This still projects a 1080p image, though at a lower 700 lumens. From the more advanced features, Auto Focus is supported. This projector features dual 8W JBL speakers and runs quietly (35dB). The Yaber L2s is priced at just €240.
