The Irrational, Accused – Premiere Dates Pushed Back due to VP Debate

As the Fall TV premiere season approaches, the schedule is being increasingly influenced by the upcoming vice presidential debate.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and U.S. Senator JD Vance have agreed to participate in at least one debate this fall, accepting an invitation from CBS News for Tuesday, October 1.

In response, some networks are adjusting their schedules. Fox, for instance, has decided to delay the Season 2 premiere of Howard Gordon’s anthology series Accused by a week, moving it to Tuesday, October 8 at 8/7c. (But after waiting this long, what’s one more week?)

Meanwhile, the second episode of the new mystery drama Murder in a Small Town, starring Kristin Kreuk, which premieres on September 24, will still air on October 1, but it will now be broadcast at 8 PM, leading into the VP debate.

NBC is now confirming that The Irrational‘s Season 2 premiere has been moved back a week to Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 10 pm
