The Boys universe is expanding with its first spinoff, “Vought Rising,” featuring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash reprising their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, respectively. This prequel to “The Boys” will delve into the origins of Vought in the 1950s, presenting a twisted murder mystery involving the early exploits of Soldier Boy and the diabolical maneuvers of Stormfront, who was then known as Clara Vought.
The announcement will be made at The Boys Comic-Con panel, with Jensen Ackles present in person and Aya Cash via video. “Vought Rising” is helmed by The Boys series executive producer Paul Grellong, with the main creative team behind The Boys franchise, including developer Eric Kripke. The show promises to be a salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.
The executive production team includes Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
