St. Mary’s Little League to Host Banana Ball Bash

GREAT MILLS, Md. – St. Mary’s Little League (SMLL) is excited to announce its inaugural Banana Ball Bash, a family-friendly event filled with fun, excitement and community spirit for our Little League families. The event, sponsored by Bay State Contracting LLC, will take place on Saturday, October 5th at Chancellor’s Run Regional Park.

The day will kick off with a Home Run Derby at 3:00 PM, featuring participants from the Minors and Majors Baseball and Softball divisions. Fans will have the opportunity to witness incredible power hitting as players compete for the coveted Home Run Champion title.

Following the derby, the highly anticipated Banana Softball game will begin at 4:30 PM. Twenty-eight talented girls from the Junior and Senior Softball divisions will be divided into two teams for a thrilling match-up. The game will incorporate the unique and entertaining rules made famous by the Savannah Bananas.

The evening will conclude with the Banana Baseball game at 7:00 PM. Twenty-eight skilled boys from the Junior and Senior Baseball divisions will also be divided into two teams for an unforgettable showdown. Like the softball game, the baseball game will feature exciting Banana Ball-inspired rules.

To add to the excitement, Coach Pitch, Pony, and T-Ball players will provide entertaining in-between-inning performances throughout the day. A variety of food trucks will be on-site to satisfy hungry fans.

“We are thrilled to host the Banana Ball Bash as a way to bring our community together and provide our players with an unforgettable experience,” said Matt Facini, Vice President of St. Mary’s Little League. “This event is a testament to our commitment to developing not only talented athletes, but also well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to our community.”
