St. Mary’s College Women’s Soccer Storms Past Penn State Brandywine


Media  PA. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Women’s Soccer Team (12-1-2) continued United East Conference play with a road contest against Penn State Brandywine (1-9-1). The Seahawks picked up an emphatic 8-0 victory. 

How it Happened

  • Mia McKenzie scored the first two goals of the game just one minute apart. McKenzie found the back of the net in the 14th and 15th minute. Both goals were unassisted. 
  • Megan Stambaugh extended the Seahawk lead to three in the 29th minute 
  • Gracie Tourangeau added the fourth tally of the game for St. Mary’s right before the halftime break in the 42nd minute. Megan Rusk picked up the assist for the Seahawks. 
  • St. Mary’s out shot Penn State Brandywine 30-0 in the first half. 
  • Megan Rusk and Lillee Covington each scored two second half goals to give the Seahawks an 8-0 lead. Ashlyn Bonner picked up an assist while Rylee Cessna recorded two. 
  • The Seahawks out shot the Lions 21-0 in the second half and out shot them 51-0 overall.
