She shared a series of Instagram stories as she explained the ordeal she found herself in. She said she has been a voiceover artist for 15 years when suddenly for the last 2 years she hasn’t been receiving any work due to the above-mentioned reasons. She added that she confronted one of the directors she loved working with about the situation to which she was told that it was assumed she wouldn’t want to do this anymore as she’s dating a successful actor now.
She reacted to the same and wrote, “Are we still living in the dark ages where we assume a woman in a relationship with a successful partner no longer has to put food on her table?? Or pay her rent and bills? Or take pride in her work and take care of herself and her family??? This is sadly a one-dimensional patriarchal and regressive mindset.”
She ended by saying when two strong individuals decide to come together, they do not forsake their individuality.
