
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. – Homicide Unit detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted for a fatal shooting at a tire shop over the weekend. The victim’s family was just located and notified. His name will be released on Tuesday. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On September 14, 2024, at approximately 6:30 am, officers responded for a welfare check in the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights. Officers located the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.

The preliminary investigation revealed the shooting occurred inside of a tire shop. The victim is an employee. The suspects fled the area in a dark-colored Mercedes sedan.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspects.
