Prince Frederick Fire Department Carnival 2024: Fun For All Ages At Calvert County Fairgrounds

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department held their annual carnival at the Calvert County Fairgrounds from July 23, 2024, to July 27, 2024, from 6 pm to 11 pm every night. It was a wholesome event, suitable for all ages!

It was free to enter and lines for coupons, food, and rides snaked around the grounds. Many found the 30-minute wait for a funnel cake worthwhile, and the food stations were popular, serving up American favorites like hot dogs and hamburgers.

The most notable snack was, hands down, a bucket of french fries. These nostalgic flavors brought back memories of past carnivals.

This year, there was no arcade, which I usually visit to win prizes and enjoy the less crowded space. Instead, the carnival featured more individual games like breaking bottles and shooting hoops and a plethora of rides.

Overall, the carnival was a success, and the excitement was palpable. Children raced toward the rides, friends met up and hugged, and families took pictures to remember this special occasion.

God bless our Volunteer Fire Department and all the ways they make our community a better place to live.
