Ree Drummond is about to cross a new frontier: Becoming a grandma.
The Pioneer Woman star’s daughter Alex Drummond Scott announced she’s pregnant, expecting her first baby with her husband Mauricio Scott.
“We can’t wait to meet you, little one,” Alex, 26, wrote on Instagram June 23. “Baby Scott joining the party this winter!”
Alongside the news, the couple, who tied the knot in 2021, shared a photo of Mauricio, 27, holding Alex close while she showed off the sonograms as well as snaps with their golden retriever, who wore a sage green bandana around his neck that read “Big Brother.”
Needless to say, Ree is counting down the days until the family’s newest addition arrives. “Beyond happy for you two!!” she commented. “(And for the whole family!) Love you, Alex and Mauricio!”
Naturally, the Food Network star—who shares kids Paige, 23, Bryce, 20, Jamar, 20 and Todd, 18, with husband Ladd Drummond—wasn’t going to leave fans with just that one comment.
