The next generation of Motorola Razr foldables is almost here. Lenovo China set the date for June 25, but that could have been just for the local launch. Now Motorola US posted on X with an official confirmation for the date.
The post itself is quite short, just showing a teasing view of two flip foldables – both with faux leather backs, one orange and one purple. By the looks of it, there will be 7 colors, though those might be split between the Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, aka Motorola Razr (2024) and Razr+ (2024).

We’ve seen plenty of leaks about the two phones. The Moto Razr 50 Ultra is expected to keep the 6.9” FHD+ main display and 3.6” cover display, but it should switch to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and bring a different set of cameras – 50MP main + 50MP 2x tele (no ultra wide, apparently). For comparison, the Razr 40 Ultra had a 12MP main and 13MP ultra wide. The battery capacity is expected to go up by 200mAh to 4,000mAh.

Moto Razr 50 details have leaked as well. The biggest change seems to be the 3.63” cover display (a major upgrade over Razr 40’s 1.5” line display). The main display remains the same, a 6.9” FHD+ panel. The phone is said to use a Dimensity 7300X chipset. For cameras, the main module will have a 50MP sensor and there will be a 13MP secondary module (probably an ultra wide). The battery capacity should remain the same as before, 4,200mAh. Photos from TENAA confirmed the larger cover display.

Further leaks suggest that the pricing will remain the same as the 40-series. The Moto Razr 50 is expected to cost $700, while the Razr 50 Ultra will be €1,200 (the leaks came from two separate sources, but the prices match the US and EU launch prices of the 2023 Razr duo).
