MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – A serious motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle occurred on northbound Three Notch Road in the area of Friendship School Road on June 13, 2024, around 1:58 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews found a motorcyclist lying in the roadway due to the collision. EMS evaluated the patient on the scene. Due to the severity of injuries, a MEDEVAC was requested. Firefighters established a landing zone at Oakville Elementary School for Maryland State Police, Trooper 7.
The patient was then airlifted to UM Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment. The occupants of the car involved in the accident were reported uninjured.
The State Highway Administration is currently assisting with the northbound Three Notch Road shutdown in the area of Friendship School Road due to the collision.
The incident remains under investigation by police.
