Maryland men’s golf placed sixth in The Goat event at the Naval Academy Golf Course Sunday.
Individually, freshman Will Gregware finished fifth overall, posting a score of 213 (70-69-74), finishing even. It was just his second collegiate event, and he earned his first top-five finish. In addition, senior Florian Huerlimann tied for 12th, recording a score of 215 (71-71-73), good for +2.
As a team, the Terps earned a score of 881 (293-288-300). They will next compete at the West Bay Collegiate event Oct. 6-7 in Fort Myers, Fla.
