Maryland mens basketball will play Virginia in four-consecutive years starting in 2025-26, the two schools announced Wednesday.
The teams will take turns hosting, with the first matchup taking place in Charlottesville, Va., next year.
The Terps and Cavaliers have faced each other just once since Maryland left the ACC in 2014. Virginia won that game, 76-71, in 2018.
Maryland has a sizable lead in the historic rivalry, though, winning 108 of the 184 all-time games between the schools. The Terps and Cavaliers met in every season from 1924 to 2014.
Virginia earned a spot in the First Four as a No. 10-seed in last year’s March Madness, before eventually losing to Colorado State, 67-42.
