Maryland men’s basketball will face Syracuse on Saturday, Dec. 21 at Barclays Center in the 2024 Gotham City Classic, it was announced today. Maryland’s nonconference schedule for the 2024-25 campaign is now set.
This will be the 10th all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Terps holding a 5-4 record. The last time they met was on Nov. 27, 2017, when Syracuse narrowly won, 72-70, at home.
Maryland won the first five meetings of the series, but has lost the last four, three of which were decided by two points.
The game time and television assignment will be announced at a later date.
