Former Maryland football head coach Ralph Friedgen is listed on the ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame for the third consecutive year, the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame announced on Monday.
Friedgen is one of nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision — including Nick Saban, Urban Meyer and Tommy Tuberville — to be selected on the ballot.
Friedgen served as Maryland’s head coach from 2001-2010, during which he led the Terps to 75 wins, seven bowl games and a program-record five bowl game wins. He also played for the Terps as an offensive guard from 1996-99.
