MM 6.28: Former Maryland men’s basketball star Jahmir Young signs Exhibit-10 deal with Denver Nuggets

After going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, former Maryland men’s basketball star Jahmir Young signed an Exhibit-10 deal with the Denver Nuggets Thursday.

The deal with the 2023 NBA champions secures him a one-year, minimum salary contract. It gives the Nuggets until the beginning of the regular season to convert it into a two-way deal.

Young worked out with 14 NBA teams before the draft.

Following his outstanding 2023-24 season with the Terps, he received notable honors, including National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 7 first team and All-Big Ten first team.

During the season, Young averaged 20.4 points per game, which ranked third in the Big Ten and 29th nationally. After transferring from Charlotte, he began his career with Maryland in the 2022-23 season and quickly made his mark, becoming the fifth player in Terps history to score 1,000 points in two seasons.
