MM 6.24: 3-star defensive back decommits from Maryland football

Three-star defensive back Julien Horton announced his decommitment from Maryland football on Sunday afternoon via a post on X. Horton is now the second player in Maryland’s 2025 recruiting class to decommit.

Horton, a native of Bel Air, Maryland, is the No. 22 ranked recruit in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite.

In 2023, Horton showcased his versatility at Bel Air High School by playing both safety and wide receiver. He was named Aegis Football Player of the Year, recording 32 tackles and one interception on defense and amassing 65 receptions for 696 yards and eight touchdowns on offense.

With Horton’s decommitment, Maryland’s 2025 recruiting class is reduced to 11 commits.
