Maryland men’s and women’s soccer head coaches, Sasho Cirovski and Meghan Ryan Nemzer, announced their team’s schedules for the 2024 season on Monday and Tuesday.
The men’s season begins at UMBC on Aug. 22, before the Terps play Georgetown on Aug. 25 in their home opener.
They will then pivot to a match against Detroit on Aug. 30, before facing formidable rival Virginia on Sept. 2. They then finish their home stand with games against Brown on Sept. 6, San Diego State on Sept. 9 and Wisconsin on Sept. 13.
A week later, Maryland will hit the road for five conference matches. It will play Indiana on Sept. 20, Northwestern on Sept. 27, Penn State on Oct. 1, Michigan State on Oct. 5 and Washington on Oct. 11.
The team will close out its season with contests against George Mason on Oct. 15, UCLA on Oct. 21, Michigan on Oct. 25, Rutgers on Oct. 29 and Ohio State on Nov. 3.
The women’s team will open its season against Lehigh on Aug. 15, before returning home for games against Stony Brook on Aug. 18, American on Aug. 22 and James Madison on Aug. 25.
The Terps then close nonconference play with four matches, playing Navy on Aug. 29, George Mason on Sept. 1, Towson on Sept. 5 and VCU on Sept. 8.
Maryland starts Big Ten play at home against Michigan State on Sept. 12, Washington on Sept. 19 and Oregon on Sept. 22. Then, it hits the road for contests against Northwestern on Sept. 26, Illinois on Sept. 29 and Ohio State on Oct. 4.
The Terps’ final five games of the season are all interconference, in which they will face Penn State on Oct. 10, Nebraska on Oct. 13, Minnesota on Oct. 17, Wisconsin on Oct. 20 and Rutgers on Oct. 27.
