Mini-Bike Driver Critically Injured in Severn Collision

SEVERN, Md. – Emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a mini-bike at the intersection of Evergreen Road and Beverly Road on August 13, 2024, at approximately 5:25 p.m.

Investigators from the Anne Arundel County Police Department Traffic Safety Section revealed that a 2021 Axis Offroad mini-bike, driven by a 52-year-old man from Severn, Maryland, was traveling northbound on Beverly Road. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at Evergreen Road and collided with a 2017 Subaru Outback, which was traveling westbound on Evergreen Road.

The impact of the collision ejected the mini-bike driver, who was not wearing a helmet, from the vehicle. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

The driver of the Subaru Outback, a 39-year-old woman from Odenton, Maryland, was not injured in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Department Traffic Safety Section.
