
Michael Odbrey Boyd, born on November 8, 1955, in Hartland, Maine, passed at his home in Madawaska, Maine on August 3, 2024.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife Sebije Boyd; his son Nicholas Boyd, his wife Nikki and their daughters, Mila and Lily; and his daughter, Erin Boyd, as well as his loving mother, Gail Boyd, and his siblings: Debra Boyd Hamiliton, Elizabeth Boyd Butler and her companion Kerry Flannery, Colby E. Boyd, Jr. and his wife Liz Boyd. Several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by Colby E. Boyd Sr., grandparents and family members.
A proud Navy veteran, Michael dedicated himself to his country with honor and commitment. After his military service, he worked for BAE Systems, Inc., as a government contractor before returning to government service as a civilian employee.
In retirement, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman, cherishing every moment spent in nature. Whether hiking through forests or fishing in the tranquil waters of Maine, Michael found peace and happiness under the open sky. A passionate cook, Michael loved experimenting with new recipes and sharing delicious meals with family and friends. His garden was a testament to his green thumb and providing fresh produce for his culinary creations.
Michael’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
