Firefighters from the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department, with assistance from units in Prince Frederick, Huntingtown, and North Beach, as well as mutual aid from Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties, quickly began attacking the fire. Given the hot and humid conditions, even at night, the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department provided rehab support to the crews.

Crews worked on the scene for over three hours to fully extinguish the blaze and prevent further damage. No injuries have been reported.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
