Massachusetts couple ‘stabbed and bludgeoned to death’ at home

A husband and wife were killed in their Massachusetts home on Tuesday, and authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the suspect.Carl Mattson, 70, and his wife, Vicki Mattson, who would have turned 71 years old Wednesday, were found dead when officers responded at 9:19 p.m. for a well-being check, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said.“Both of the victims were stabbed and bludgeoned to death,” Cruz said.Cruz said police are searching for 27-year-old Christopher Keeley, of Weymouth, who is acquainted with the couple, in connection with the deaths.“This does not appear to be a random act of violence. This appears to be a targeted attack,” Cruz said. “The individual that we are looking for right now, we consider him armed and dangerous. We do not consider him to be in the area right now.”Keeley, who also goes by the name “Crispy,” is 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs 140 pounds. He has blonde hair that he may have dyed red, Cruz said. Fay, a lawyer representing the Keeley family, shared the following statement with the media:”At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday November 30, 2022 the family of Christopher Keeley was notified that the Massachusetts State Police were looking to question Christopher in relation to a situation in Marshfield. The Mass State Police have been given the full cooperation of Mr. Keeley’s family.”The events that are alleged to have occurred are shocking and truly devastating to all involved. Our hearts go out to the entire Mattson family for their loss. At this point in time, the Keeley family respectfully requests that members of the media please respect their privacy as they begin to process this sense less tragedy.” Officials were searching for a 2019 black Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with Massachusetts license plate 7490HT that Keeley was believed to be driving, however the vehicle was found unoccupied at a parking lot in Avon Wednesday afternoon.As a result of the ongoing investigation, search warrants have been executed and an arrest warrant was issued for Keeley out of Plymouth District Court and entered into the National Crime Information Center.Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 774-434-5999 or Marshfield police at 774-380-4289.
