New restaurant plans 3-course dinner for Harford County Restaurant Week

Restaurants plan to serve some special meals for Harford County Restaurant Week.Sous chef Chris Rinaudo and his team are cooking up a little bit of everything at Lib’s Grill in Bel Air. The restaurant is just 5 months old, so it’s kicking off its first restaurant week with a three-course special for $35.23.”With the deals that people are able to get through restaurant week, it really offers them the opportunity to come out and experience us when they may not have originally even known about us or heard about us yet, being new to the community. So, it kind of gives us a platform to get it out and show them what we have to offer,” said Adam Merryman, general manager at Lib’s Grill.Lib’s Grill is one of 43 restaurants participating in this year’s restaurant week, which runs from this Friday through Sunday, Jan. 29.”This is the most restaurants we’ve ever had participating. All of them have done special menus, so it’s great to see that restaurants are back the way they were before the pandemic,” said Matthew Scales, executive director of Visit Harford.Scales said he hopes people will come out and support local businesses.”The chains are great, but you know it is the mom-and-pop restaurants that really make a community, and we don’t want to lose them. So, the more that we support them, the more that we have our community and our heart in Harford,” Scales said.For anyone planning to participate in Harford County Restaurant Week, organizers recommend downloading the digital Harford Passport, check in at restaurants and collect rewards points to go toward the chance of winning prizes as big as a hotel stay.Baltimore City Winter Restaurant Week begins on Jan. 27 and ends on Feb. 5, and will offer dinner deals featuring $35, $45 and $55 menus. Baltimore County Winter Restaurant Week is underway and ends Sunday. Howard County’s Restaurant Weeks and Craft Beverages started Monday with more than 25 restaurants offering deals, special menus and gift certificate giveaways.
