LA PLATA, Md. – Jeannine James, the Mayor of La Plata, welcomed the town’s newest police officer in a swearing-in ceremony on the evening of June 18, 2024.
The new recruit, Officer Nicole McGovern, will be graduating from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Academy on June 26. She is set to immediately begin her field training after her graduation.
The Town of La Plata and LPPD warmly welcome Officer McGovern to her new role.
